West Bank clashes with Israeli troops kill Palestinian youth

In this context, Nidal al-Bizri, the president of the Nablus Businessmen Forum, told Al-Monitor, “The Palestinian participation in the opening of such a hall amid the continuous Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque looks like a hard decision for Palestinian businessmen”.

In the West Bank on Sunday, Israeli troops shot and wounded at least 6 Palestinians in an arrest raid in the Jenin refugee camp, a Palestinian hospital director said. The Palestinian Red Crescent said over 450 Palestinians were injured in the violent protests over the last two days.

The Old City restrictions announced by police will be in place for two days, with only Israelis, tourists, residents of the area, business owners and students allowed. However, doctors later pronounced him dead. The ISIS affiliate Sheikh Omar Brigades again took responsibility for the rocket attack.

Recent violence began on October 3 with the stabbing of an off-duty Israeli soldier and rabbi near the walled Old City that Israel captured during a 1967 war, according to Reuters.

Israeli police, meanwhile, arrested a Palestinian man and a woman who attacked officers on duty in Jerusalem.

We were walking to the Kotel (the Western Wall). The streets were crowded. “Our people will revolt”. Dozens of Palestinians reportedly suffered from tear gas inhalation while clashing with security forces in several locations around those cities. We are heartened that the BBC and others have issued clarifications or launched investigations in the wake of these troubling, one-sided and biased reports. In the wake of these attacks Palestinian leaders should send a strong and clear message that violence and terrorism is morally unconscionable and completely unacceptable.

The IDF said it was aware of the boy being hit and was looking into the details of the incident.

I really begged, ‘Help me, help me!’ “While the knife was still stuck in me, they slapped me and laughed at me”. I realized I wouldn’t be able to; I felt I was about to fall. I fell on the ground; I couldn’t move. Palestinian onlookers “spat at me and slapped me in the face”. They were animals. I felt that it had been organized. Palestinians were banned from the Old City for the following 48 hours unless they lived or worked there.

Islamic Jihad later said the attack was carried out by one of its members. He is then filmed approaching a bus stop with a backpack where he waits with a group of soldiers. “Rioters have been attacking security forces by hurling rocks, Molotov cocktails and IEDs”. There is chaos running havoc among Palestinian protesters colliding with Israeli police in repeated clashes at the Jews “Temple Mount” and Haram al-Sharif to the Muslims.

Tensions in the Old City, the site of the sacred al-Aqsa Mosque and the hilltop compound revered by both Jews and Muslims, have sparked the recent violence.

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, however, holds Abbas responsible for the current unrest.

Netanyahu convened his top security officials immediately after landing back in Israel on Sunday (local time) from delivering a speech to the UN General Assembly.

“This is our mosque, but they want to take it and pray there”, she said, referring to suspicions among Palestinians that Israel will seek to change rules governing the compound, which Netanyahu strongly denies.

The Israeli military said people taking part in a rally organised by the militant Islamist movement Hamas threw firebombs and rocks at its troops, and rolled burning tyres.

The violence has raised fears of further military action by Israel.

Summary⎙ Print Economic relations between Israelis and Palestinians might be on their way to seeing improvement, but businessmen, mostly Palestinians, are still treading carefully.
